Samir El-Abbouni, CIO
Deputy Chief Investment Officer (CIO)
Samir is Deputy Chief Investment Officer, responsible for managing discretionary and advisory mandates. He brings more than 10 years of experience in investment management, quantitative research, and portfolio construction across Geneva, Paris, London, and Zurich.
Prior to joining Amber Lion Partners, Samir was Portfolio Manager at Audi Private Bank in Geneva, where he directly managed USD 500 million in mandates alongside the CIO and played a key role in building the bank’s discretionary and advisory platform. He also led the structured products business, managed thematic AMC strategies, and was a voting member of the Investment Committee.
Earlier, Samir co-founded Impact Lab, a Geneva-based fintech dedicated to responsible investment solutions, where he developed ESG scoring and portfolio management platforms for institutional investors and family offices. Before that, he worked at Horus Partners Wealth Management as a Quant Analyst and Portfolio Manager, managing bespoke indices and equity certificates with a total AuM of EUR 1.4 billion, and developing quantitative factor-investing strategies.
He began his career as an Investment Strategist at Natixis in Paris and London, and as a Cross Asset Investment Strategist at BNP Paribas Cardif in Paris, focusing on asset allocation models, derivatives, and fixed-income research.
Samir holds an MSc in Financial Markets with High Honours from Panthéon-Sorbonne University (Paris I).
